I am a licensed clinical psychologist (Indiana License #20042554A) providing individual and couples therapy in a private practice setting. My training and experiences provide the context for my therapy approach. Together, we’ll consider how your past informs your present-day experiences, while bolstering your core character strengths.
I earned a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University, an APA-accredited program, known for its commitment to in-depth clinical training. My dissertation was in the fast-growing area of positive psychology. During my doctoral studies, I received robust training in clinical work with individuals, couples, and groups at clinics throughout Los Angeles, including the Los Angeles Union Rescue Mission, Augustus F. Hawkins Mental Health Center, and the flagship West Los Angeles VA Healthcare Center.
My clinical training was informed by deeper studies in existential psychology, followed by immersion in a two-year pre-doctoral internship in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Wright Institute Los Angeles. This training had a profound influence on my current approach to therapy. I completed my post-doctoral fellowship in Indianapolis at the Julian Center, where I continued training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, providing long-term therapy to individuals and groups, with a focus on trauma process and recovery. Recently, I served as adjunct faculty in the clinical psychology doctoral program at the University of Indianapolis, teaching seminars in positive psychology.
I hold active memberships in the American Psychological Association, the Indiana Psychological Association, the International Positive Psychology Association, and the Wright Institute Los Angeles Alumni Association.
